Hello,

We want our SAP S/4 PCE on Azure DBCO connect to database on GCP.

Does it possible to do it? Does anyone have experience with this?

If your can share your experience, I appreciate it.

Hi Ken,

Your SAP landscape resides in PCE in Azure and in order to connect to the outside it is required to have some sort of whitelisting between your SAP solution in Azure to other cloud such as GCP.

Normally any connection from SAP landscape to outside is blocked as default and it required to be added in PCE DNS server through whitelisting (Called Squid proxy in SAP side) .

If your GCP solution is integrated through your on premises already (you can ping the server in your network) since your PCE should be same (via DNS forwarding) then the communication between your SAP instance and GCP consider an internal connection in your on premises DNS and it is possible to make this happens.

This means you need to open the source IP and the communication port in your on prem ACL network.

I highly suggest you contact your SAP representee in ECS (CDM/TSM) to ask for a guideline since this is not a regular practice in SAP on hyperscaler and it is required a custom modification.

Thanks,

Hope this helps,

Amin
