Hi Nayak,

ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model is mandatory for ABAP in SAP Cloud(Embedded Steampunk) and in BTP ABAP Environment(Steampunk). Also it is optional in on premise. I suggest you to learn that programming model as it is future-proven programming model of SAP.

As mentioned before, the RAP-model for ABAP Development would keep you up-to-date with recent ABAP technology. If you can combine this with OData - SAP-Gateway and Fiori Elements knowledge, you should be good.
