The Position
Due to international growth and increased administration complexity, we are expanding our finance team and are looking for an Accountant for our Germany based company. We are looking for a driven candidate with some experience in accounting, who wants to further develop with us.
The position is located at our office in Hamburg and requires a certain degree of independence and task ownership. It also involves coordinating with the company’s financial team based in Oslo HQ.
Location
Neptune Software GmbH, Ifflandstraße 4, Hamburg.
Some travel to HQ in Oslo will be expected.

Responsibilities
- Daily bookkeeping: handling of incoming invoices, registering incoming and outgoing payments, clearing supplier and customer ledger accounts
- Following up on Accounts Receivable, contact with local and international customers
- Monthly balance reconciliation (bank, accrued costs, fixed assets)
- Supporting on monthly VAT reconciliation and reporting
- Supporting HQ on the end of fiscal year reporting and auditing
- Representing Neptune Finance locally in Hamburg
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting
- Basic knowledge of the German accounting standards and general accounting principals
- Higher education in economy or finance
- Good verbal and written communication both in English and German
- Experience working with SAP is a plus
- Affinity for learning new systems and digital tools
- Detail oriented and analytic
