The Position
The R&D department which builds our DXP (Digital Experience Platform) provides a mobile solution for our customers. The Mobile solution is built upon Cordova, but we are in partnership with CapacitorJS so we are transitioning to Capacitor. The Mobile solution is part of the DXP ecosystem and facilitates our customer to quickly build solutions on mobile devices.
As Mobile Engineering Team Lead you will take the ownership of building, growing, testing, and maintaining our Mobile solution for Android and iOS. You will report directly to the VP of Engineering and create the mobile strategy along with the CPO. You will have one other experienced engineer on your team at start. This team is newly created, which allows you to have a significant impact on Neptune’s mobile strategy.

Oslo or Remote (England, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, or Portugal).

Responsibilities
- Define and lead the implementation of the Mobile strategy in the R&D department.
- Oversee daily activities regarding mobile development.
- Build, design, improve, and grow our mobile solution.
- Collaborate with and educate other team lead on how to integrate with the mobile solution and design mobile friendly solutions.
- Keep the mobile solution up to date to support the latest iOS and Android versions.
- Build the competence on Mobile and stay up to date with the latest trends and changes in the mobile space.
- Manage engineers on your team.
Candidate profile
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proactive attitude.
- Takes initiative.
- Good communicator.
- Experience with developing in Cordova, CapacitorJS or both for Android and iOS.
- Experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Loves to automate things.
- Experience in leading technical people is a bonus.
- Experience in leading technical projects.
- Strong knowledge about the mobile development space.
