CRM 2007 - Marketing Calendar - Applet Failed

Former Member

Hi Gurus

When trying to view the Marketing Calendar, I get "Loading Java Applet Failed" message.

The rest of the screen displays correctly, just the Calendar itself does not display.

One of my colleagues has his PC set-up the same as me and it works for him, I've tried to mimic his set-up but still the issue remains.

I'm on I.E 6.0 Java version JRE 1.4.2_07

Maximum points for a speedy resolution to this.

Many Thanks

Hi Alexandre

Ended up logging as OSS message.

Applied notes: 1237477 & 1177590 as per recommendation.

Due to Proxy issues also had to update Exclusions in Lan settings.

Once this was sorted the Calendar did display.

Still a number of issues:

  • Very slow to load

  • Tends to crash after only a number of changes

Will deal with these at a later date.

Will award you full points as this is still the correct answer.

Many Thanks

Hi Panduranga,

I'm facing the same problem and I did implemented the two notes as well ( 1237477 & 1177590 )

Can you please tell me how did you manage the issue of update exclusions in LAN settings?

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Hi Hugo

In Internet Explorer

Click on Tools

Then Internet Options

Then Connections

Then click on the Lan Settings Button

Then click on the Advanced Button

In the Exceptions box at the bottom add the address which is causing the issue, usually something like

http://<host>.abc-corporation.net*

Hope this helps

Hello Folks.

I believe that this a time zone problem.

I did a test. I changed my time zone from Brasilia -GMT-03:00 to (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada) and marketing calendar was displayed with success.

I believe that this problem will be solved with note number:

1237477 version 9 from 06.11.2008.

Apply this note 1237477 version 9 from 06.11.2008 and make a new test.

Kind Regards
