CRM Product Catalog in Sales Order/Quotation without Webshop or Basket

Dear Experts,

I need to understand how can we build the following functionality in CRM system.

1. A sales professional while working with customer , need the ability to browser a product catalog and select some product and add them to Quotation or Sales Order.  Keeping in mind that there is no WebShop or Basket.
2. Do we need to have Webshop, XCM and TREX in place ?
3. What exactly and where these setting are maintained in CRM.

As we know CRM 7. & higher, allow to add item from product catalog , but I am not able to understand the basic configuration behind it. Please help me with above scenario and questions. I am not able to find any best practice or any configuration guide which can help me drive the configuration sequence.

Hi Sajjad,

Can you please explain how you configured this? I'm looking to integrate a third party catalog in SAP  CRM Sales Order. I know that it can be achieved in SRM through OCI ( Open Catalog Interface), however couldn't find something like this in CRM yet.
