If it wouldn't work, I don't see the interest of having this ALV Hierarchical-Sequential List feature 😉

Look at the demo programs like BCALV_TEST_HIERSEQ_LIST.

As Frederic said, "it's very old school to use FM", you'd better learn to use CL_SALV_HIERSEQ_TABLE.
