How to Enter/edit the "Short Text" IN QM Notifications

Hi All,

I want to know where I can enter the short text in QM notifications QM01/QM02 e.g.Q1 standard notification,I have tried to search & explore the same to populate this short text field in SPRO details of notification in screen areas of notification TAB but unable to find the short text,

My requirement is to enter the short text in Q1 type notification & to display later in QM11/QM10.

Please help to achieve the same.

Hi R Sehgal,

You can use the description field in Subject tab in reference object screen. Pleasee look at the below entry. The same will reflect at header level.

And if you want to maintain detail description then use the option below description or by clicking on text edit option at header level beside description.

Let us know the technical field name

there are several short text fields in Notification

The one we can see on executing QM11/QM12 is VORKTEXT

This is the Operation Short text and can be seen in the Items -> Overview tab (scroll right)

Yeah actually there are two fields in QM11 & QM10 for short text one mentioned by you & second one is FERTVORKTX

where are the fields where I can input the text values.

Hi Rakesh,

There is no short text field specific to the notification that is provided by sap standard

you can add it using customization or development

You need to use the Description just below the Notification number which essentially serves the same purpose like Short Text

Actually I have checked the field short text one mentioned by you & it is coming as not editable

in overview of Items Tab.

These fields I know very well already and using for monitoring of different parameters also long text too , My requirement is different ,

Short text in QM11/QM10 where to input in QM01/QM02 to get output
