Business Area Configuration

Good day All,

I have a question related to the Business Area configuration. I know the way to create a Business Area by Tcode OX03. But what I don't understand is how to do configuration or how to link plant or sales area to Business Area. What is the method to do configuration after we create a Business area.

How many plants we can assign to Business Area? For ex. I have 2 plants in Maharashtra and I want to use Business area as a Geographical area then can I assign two plants to Business Area? Can I assign company codes to business area? Can I assign two plants from two different codes to Business area?

Please advise.

Business Area can't be link in material master.
