Migration of question from SAP Activate JAM community to SAP Community

Hi Team,

I want to know few points about the fit-to-standard process for on-premise for system conversion (brownfield). The SAP presentation says that we need to do a full system conversion of production in sandbox and then demonstrate customer processes using new S/4HANA & review new innovations.

What exactly is performed in review innovations ? Do we need to activate SAP best practice processes ? Secondly, how do we capture delta because in system conversion the same ECC functionality will be working in S/4HANA with HANA database ? Can someone kindly elaborate?

To answer your questions:

1.) SAP S/4HANA comes with new innovations and the latest industry best practices. To view exactly what new innovations come with a specific release you can review some of the "What's New" accelerators we have the Transition to SAP S/4HANA implementation roadmap.

2.) Before the conversion can take place, the simplification list must be reviewed- all of the items on the list must be checked and addressed. The simplification items provide the customer with a list of all the relevant changes (or delta) that might have an impact when converting from ERP to S/4HANA.

In addition, any new scope that will be implemented (that was not part of your ERP solution) will follow the same fit-to-standard process and delta requirements for that scope will be captured if further refinement from technical experts is needed.
