STO process and delivery created when no stock in VL10B

Hello,

everything is setuped for a STO process since a long time and VL10B does not create a delivery note if there is no stock. But today for a material SAP was able to create a delivery note even if there is no stock for one material. Uh ... how is this possible ?

Typically outbound delivery creation check for stock availability according to ATP logic. Available stock is not equal to unrestricted use stock that you can see in e.g. MMBE, as ATP logic counts planned inbound and outbound movements.

ATP stock can be checked with CO09. See SAP wiki pages:

• CO09 - Availability overview

My bet is that even though you didn't have unrestricted use stock during the delivery creation, the stock was still available according to ATP logic.
