S4hana business partner replication # Logical Port ignores sap-client

Dear colleagues

I have followed the documentation https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/74b0b157c81944ffaac6ebc07245b9dc/ba3e264089bb4104917... and also checked the blog https://blogs.sap.com/2020/07/02/s-4hana-business-partner-replication.

Everything is up and running, one issue comes up in the Logical Port generated by the Profile and the Provider System. The generated port (here the first in the list) is ignoring the sap client of the Provider System. It goes in EC1 010 client instead of 020.

I have created manually a new port, all details as in the generated port, expect in the URL I have added ?sap-client = 020. And then in works. I can distribute data properly, all fine.

How can I overcome this issue in the generated port?

In the mentioned blog I can see in the screenshots that the Logical Ports are editable, so they are not generated by Profile and Provider System. So where is the clue vs. documentation?

Thank you for every ideas you might have!

Kind Regards

Monica

Thank you Necla. I have searched for similar issues and didn't found a proper answer.

What we've did is deleting all the set-up we done, did it all over again and ensure that all catches are deleted and refreshed.

Then it start to work properly. We are not sure what caused the issue, we hope the set-up in the next system will go smoother.

I will close this question for now

Dear Monica,

Unfortunately, it seems to be taking longer than usual for your question to be answered. You might want to try an alternative route to speed things up.

Please check if a similar question has already been asked in the Community. We have found that sometimes questions that have been answered before are no longer receiving responses.

The easiest way to do this, is to visit the All Questions page and search for your specific topic.

You could also check the SAP Support Portal and search for SAP Notes, SAP Knowledge Base Articles and more.

If all of this doesn’t work, I would suggest that you create a support ticket. All you need to do is log onto the SAP Support Portal with your S-user ID and password: http://service.sap.com/message

Thank you,

Necla
