Time Capturing with out CATs

Hi Expert,

We have requirement to time booking without using time sheet in CATs application.

how to manage time booking thing out of CATs application. do we have any thought process how to manage.

what is possibility to manage time booking process wrt to network activity? can some one help here to build this new scenario for time capturing?

Is there any good reason not to use CA-TS to record time and then distribute it to other applications: HR, CO, PM, etc.?

Several SAP Partners offer their own timesheet applications that interface to SAP.

It all depends on why you don't want to use CATS.

Has your business unit though about what they will do to record absences?

Why do they want to stop using cats ? How will they track absences if they stop using it ?

Technically some of the responses here might work - but realistically I don't see why anyone would want to do this instead of cats.

If you can know why your business is trying to do this. I'm sure we can come up with a better alternative.

You could try those

• Use network confirmation - tr. CN25
• Use Enter direct activity allocation - tr.. KB21n

Basically you replicate interfaces from CA-TS to Project System (tr. CAT5) and Controling (tr. CAT7)

Question - Do you use modules CS/PM too?

yes we have PM but not CS module.

• Enter PM Order Confirmation - tr. IW41 (as CA-TS -> CAT9)

Hi Sanjeev,

The alternative is KB21N with screen variant 05SAP (WBS/NWA). Obviously many features of CATS will not be available, but that is essentially same CO postings.

Just keep in mind that different options are not equivalent as provide different benefits/limitations.
