Create the very first BPC Environment on BPC 10.1 Embedded

Dear BPC Friends,

I'm working on BPC 10.1 Embedded Version. I have SAP_ALL access.

Unlike in the BPC Standard / Classic version, it doesn't come with a delivered Environment - APSHELL which we can use to create copies.

My question is - How do I create the very first BPC Environment in the Embedded / Unified version of BPC.

Below is the screen I see when I logon to the BPC Web Client.

After clicking on the 'Manage All Environments' I get the below blank screen. At the bottom right where it says 'Environment: NULL' .. by clicking on the NULL doesn't give me anything because NULL is not the name of an environment.

Can anyone please help.

Thanks,

Hello,

Please note you have to go through all the post installation steps in BPC 10.1 installation guide.  They are required for both embedded and standard model.

Thanks Guys for all your responses.

One of the issue is with the POA services not being setup.

It also appears the IE version I'm on may not be compatible with my NW version.

Cheers!

Hello,

I am assuming that this is not an issue specific to BPC embedded and you have a problem with a blank screen showing, i.e. no other environment is showing.

Please ensure that you have added /POA/BUI_UM_USER.  I found that when I don't have that role I see only a blank screen.

Leila

Hi Venkata,

Have you activated Envt Shell using UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT?

Hi ,

The reason might be authorization issue or IE compatibility . Please check.

As I said in the original thread I have SAP_ALL access.

Nothing wrong with IE, other BPC installations (Standard version) work fine. Same behavior in Chrome & Firefox.

What about BPC specific roles?
