Approvers not receiving email notification

Hi,

We have a issue where in few cases approver is not receiving notifications regarding his approval in work inbox.

For access request related requests, we are successfully receiving notifications and for Function id, risk id , mitigation control and assignment we are not receiving any notifications for approvals, once the requests are approved , requestor is able to receive notifications.

Is this is a standard behaviour and do i need to perform any other step other than assigning agents?
