Can we add a conditional step on the Perfomance Route map?

Hi

Is it possible to add a step to the Route map that is applicable only when the roles for the prior steps do not exist?

It would be similar to the Alternate Route user step that is assigned when a form is launched and does not have an owner because the role does not exist. At that time, the document is returned to the creator.

Our route map has an Evaluation Step assigned to a single role EM, followed by a 2nd level review step also assigned to a single role EMM, please see below for screenshot.

Step# 6 is a collaborative step and we have turned on the option to create this step only when all roles exist.

We have seen that when both the EM and EMM roles are vacant after the form is already at step #3, the system does not have anyone to transfer the form to, and it skips forward to completion without ratings.

I tried to make step #3 collaborative with an HR role, and limited access to the HR so they cannot change anything. The only problem with that is all employee documents would show up in that HR's inbox and there is no indication on which one they need to act upon.

This is where it would be helpful to have an Alternate Route step that is created when roles do not exist for multiple steps, before the document is prematurely routed to completion.

I appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

Hi @akartha

Actually there is no such option to have a conditional route map step, that's way they named it rout map not workflow as in EC, so the best solution for your case is to make the 3rd step (iterative) HR admin and EM both are entry user, and only EM the exit user, so by this way when the manager is there he will rate and send it to next step then it will disappear from HR admin inbox, and after the deadline of rating come only the forms without EM will stay in HR admin inbox, then he can route them by route form tool or do whatever they want to this form.
