Dependent`s date of birth

Hello,

Is it possible to make the field Date Of Birth for Dependents portlet as required for some countries and for some aren`t?

I can`t do it in business rule. I mean the function TEXT for it.

Can anyone help me?

Yes, you can control it using a business rule. In the example below, the rule was created using the Dependents Model and it is onChange in the relationship field:

For example, I want to make this field as mandatory only for Hungary in Dependents portlet.

1) Why is this rule OnChange? What should I change?

2) Why in the rule we have Required is true and false as conditions?

I didn’t try with Country, but company (legal entity). Can you try with company to see if it works? Do you have this rule onChange in the relationships field?

About the true or false, this is how we should set it up when defining if field should be or not mandatory.

With Company code my rule works, many thanks!

I am glad it works for you.

Probably the Country does not work as it is a picklist and we may have a limitation in there (I am not 100%, so if you need this confirmation I would recommend you to raise a ticket to SAP support asking them). Can I ask you to mark this question as answered so we can have it completed?
