LMS fail to track SCORM validation

Hello !

We've been testing a lot our training on our LMS. The training is only composed of book pages and a quiz project, no simulation. We want our LMS to give certification for validation of the training when the user watched all the book pages and obtained the required score on the quiz project. However, we have some trouble with the parameters as the LMS shows the training as failed or ongoing.

Here is what we have right now as settings.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Irina,

the settings in your screenshot look ok. There are other settings which influence the tracking, though. Please read through the blog post if you haven't already and have a look at the KBA 2902368 - FAQ for successful SAP Enable Now SCORM export. It's also relevant for other LMS.

When you publish your content as a SCORM file and you have projects to count into the completion, make sure to set the Book Display to "Show only books" or "Show books and direct sub objects" depending on what you want to track.

Here is an image showing the structure in SAP Enable Now and how it is read out by the LMS:

  • Export as a single SCO course. Top-book will act as a master tracker for the objects below and consolidate!
  • Book reader: Progress and result (has no score, but is master tracker, score inherited from quiz!)
  • Progress and result for the quiz
  • Configure result type and score precision according to the LMS specification
  • Switch tracking off (“none”) for Sim1 since considered optional

Please consider involving a consultant for help with more complicated set up varieties.

Hope this answers your question, if not please reach out to a consultant or open up an incident.

Take Care,

Kristina
