Dear experts,
I have a customer, who is planning to roll-out SF EC globally.
In Positions Management, they want to use the standard objects Business Unit, Division and Department.
They do have several legal entities for one country.
The customer wants to have ONE root object to have a global reporting. They are used to have a root organizational unit from SAP HCM.
The root object they want to have is not really existing, they just want to have it as an "umbrella".
Could following structure work globally?
1 BU: company group (is virtual without legal entity)
x Divisions: Defined per country (x divisions - x countries with several legal entities per country)
y Departments and sub-departments per function e.g. automation, R&D,...
For hiring an employee, I can associate within department the legal entity and propagate it for jobInfo right?
Do I have to consider something else?
Note: It is not planned to replicate the structure in SAP HCM OM.
Thank you so much and KR,
Nesli
Dear nesli05,
You could create a parent association to the top object in your structure, so you can assign this root. Would look like this:
Business Unit (Root) Business Unit, Division and Department
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Karen Perez
