Time Valuation based on employee's FTE

Greetings everyone!

We have a requirement of overtime premium calculation based on the FTE of the employee. There are conditions due to which we would also need to calculate the full-time equivalent working hours in case the employee is working part-time. Could somebody confirm if this is possible in standard timesheet or if there is any workaround?

Hello Udit,

Please create 2 different Overtime types, 1 time type is for FTE is equal to 1, and other is FTE is equals less then one. write the condition in validation rules to restrict part timer to use full time employees overtime types along with that create 2 different time valuations with different rates. Hope this works.

Thanks

Hello Shilpa,

Thanks for your reply. Actually the issue here is that the FTE can be anything between 0 and 1. Hence, there are no specific number of FTEs for which we can create different time valuations. Is there anything possible besides that?

Hi All,

Let me state an example to elaborate on the question. Suppose an employee is working for 0.5 FTE i.e., 20 hours a week. And his full-time counterpart of 1 FTE works 40 hours a week. For this employee, if he works 40 hours in a week, he will be paid at 1x rate. But if this employee works for 50 hours a week, he will be paid 20 hours at 1x rate and the remaining 10 OT hours at 2x rate.
