Rückblick: SAP Stammtisch Magdeburg – Thema "Mixed Reality" 🥽 Am Montag war es wieder soweit: Der beliebte SAP Stammtisch Magdeburg fand in den Räumlichkeiten des SAP University Competence Center (UCC) Magdeburg statt. Mit einer Mischung aus vor-Ort und remote Gästen, die sich bei leckerem Catering und erfrischenden Getränken vernetzten 🍽️🍻 Den Auftakt machten Maxim Haag und Tim Folkens von der BA Business Advice GmbH mit einem Praxisbericht zur Datenmigration in SAP - eine Schlüsseldisziplin, um ein (neues) SAP-System datenmäßig zum Leben zu erwecken. Sie präsentierten verschiedene Tools und Methoden, teilten ihre Erfahrungen und Lessons Learned aus aktuellen Projekten. Im Vortrag berichtete Lars Micheel über SAP Multi- und Hybrid-Cloud-Management (SMHC) bei T-Systems. Das ist ein komplettes Orchestration and Operation Framework für SAP Workloads in der Private und Public Cloud. T-Systems entwickelt ein eigenes Automation Framework für Multi Cloud Management auf Basis diverser Open Source Technologien - ein zentrales Cloud Management Portal (COSMOS) das den SAP Basis Administrator:innen ein zentrales Management Tool für SAP Workloads unabhängig von der geografischen Lokation oder Infrastruktur Provider bietet. Dabei werden die Best Practices sowie Referenz Architekturen für den SAP Betrieb kombiniert mit der Erfahrung von 20 Jahren private Cloud Betrieb. SAP Stammtisch Magdeburg: Die Zukunft von IT-Betrieb und Service 🚀 Gestern fand der SAP Stammtisch Magdeburg zum Thema "Die Zukunft von IT-Betrieb und -Service" statt, bei dem die Teilnehmer:innen spannende Einblicke zu SAP Focused Run (FRUN) erhielten Michael Greulich  schilderte den Weg des SAP University Competence Center (UCC) Magdeburg  in Bezug auf das Monitoring für SAP-Landschaften – von BMC Patrol über den SAP Solution Manager bis hin zu FRUN. Trotz Fortschritten beim Solution Manager stellte er fest, dass dieser eher für kleinere Systemlandschaften geeignet ist, während FRUN besser für die Anforderungen des UCC Magdeburg passt In ihrer aktuellen Nutzung kombiniert das UCC verschiedene Monitoring-Bereiche, erkundet aber auch weiterhin neue Funktionalitäten. Zukunftspläne beinhalten unter anderem die Möglichkeiten von FRUN über die Überwachung der SAP-Systemlandschaft hinaus zusätzliche Szenarien zum Einsatz zu bringen, um Qualität und Effizienz im SAP-Systembetrieb weiter zu erhöhen. Auch die in4MD Service GmbH nutzt bereits FRUN und plant, ein zentrales Monitoring der Systemlandschaften darüber einzuführen, wie André Siegling  berichtete. Mit dem Ziel, den bisher genutzten Solution Manager so weit wie möglich durch FRUN zu ersetzen, würde die Firma Einblicke über mehrere Landschaften hinweg erhalten und unter anderem von individuell anpassbaren Dashboards und Oberflächen profitieren.
