Has anyone come across the following scenario where there are 2 CAS numbers for the same chemical (one is for anhydrous, one for hydrous) but there is only one quantity registration for REACh? This means the quantities for 2 different CAS numbers need to be added together. This may mean developing custom Function modules for substance tracking and/or Volume determination.

this is simply "REACH". Sometimes the difference between two CAS numbers is not existing according one regulation. If there is then by hazard the need to really maintain composition defined by two different CAS numbers you can only solve the e.g. SVT part if you have a different data record there to be used only for REACH,. One component is then referring to one e.g. LIST_SUB havin ong REACH registration. The "strange" here is only that this REACH registration represents two CAS numbers
There are other examples like your existing. Not very often. But we have such situations
