CATENA-X: Industry Network & Technology for a Data Driven Value Chain

CATENA-X offers a user-friendly environment for building, operating and collaboratively using end-to-end data chains, along the entire automotive value chain. The resulting data ecosystem builds a decentralized network with a virtual data space, which enables the data exchange between 2 or more parties in a self-sovereign, peer-to-peer fashion without the need of a central hub. Data owners who share data keep full data sovereignty, can thus certify the identity of the data consumer and control the terms and conditions under which their data is used by the data consumer. Based on the International Data Spaces standard (IDS), we plan to offer decentralized data space connectivity as part of the SAP Integration Suite to enable new and existing applications to join decentralized networks.
