2023 VSaaS Upgrade and Patch Schedule

Hi Everyone,

Below is the currently planned 2023 Upgrade and Planned Patches schedule for Validated SaaS Learning environments. As mentioned, the dates represent the evening of when activities are planned to start, but the full maintenance window for each of your respective environments based on data center location will be communicated via official communication channels.

• The release notes will be available in the What's New Viewer.  You can filter on 2H2022 and 1H2023 learning  releases to see the full consolidated list of all innovations that are a part of this annual upgrade.

***Please note the updated Sandbox Major Upgrade date and shift in patch numbers later in the release that better align to the overall release calendar***

Recently a pop-up started to appear about SuccessFactors Native Login Deprecation in the learning administrator's view for me, would you be able to advise when should the validated customers expect the SuccessFactors Native Login to be depreciated? So that, we can plan accordingly.

Can you please confirm what is the latest patch date scheduled for VSAAS? Based on your post I understand the next patch is 05/01/2024, but Patches Knowledge Base | SAP Community according to this community there is a patch deployed in Sandbox on 20th March 2023.

Is this patch applicable for VSAAS as well? Kindly help urgently.

The patch schedule for for the 1H 2022 version (b2205) is located here. The most recent patch for vSaaS is b2205p31.

What is the timing for the 27OCT2023 upgrade? Will it start at midnight and have the upgrade completed early morning on 28OCT2023? With 27OCT2023 being a regular workday, want to make sure it doesn't disrupt learners and their training.

The relevant upgrades will occur between -
27th Oct 1500 to 2200 UTC for APJ region DCs
27th Oct 2200 to 0500 UTC 28th Oct for EMEA DCs
28th Oct 0400 to 1100 UTC for Americas DCs

Is there a way to identify the individual on the client side who receives these communications? Additionally, can I make a request to receive similar emails as a partner? Your guidance on this matter is appreciated.

@losangeles2023 you would need to identify the Cloud Admin at the client side. They should have the necessary permissions to check this. One needs a S-User linked to a tenant in order to subscribe to notifications.

Was there any emergency patch applied by SAP  in VSAAS system in the last couple of weeks? specifically from on or before 22nd July?

Hi,
when will the 2024 release dates be communicated? Big changes are coming with the new Integrated Learning Experience and VSaaS clients need to block enough time in advance to get prepared. Thanks!
