At CSL Behring, there is interest in building an interface between SuccessFactors Learning and some of our key GxP systems, such as our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This interface, using oData APIs, would be used to allow or deny access to an MES system (or other GxP application) based upon the Curriculum Status of an individual user.
The purpose of such an interface would be to ensure that end users cannot access critical GxP systems if they have not completed their training. This would help to automate a process which is now performed manually.
The interface would be required to pull back real time Curriculum Status information, as this training check would occur at the point of login to the GxP system. If the end user was Incomplete on the applicable Curriculum to access the GxP system, access would then be denied to said system.
Have any SF Learning customers implemented such an interface before, or a variation of it? I am interested in seeing if any LSIG members have constructed such an interface, and learning a bit more about other members’ experiences.
