Automation testing tools

Hi all, Is anyone using automated testing tools to assist with unit and regression testing for the annual updates? At Pfizer, we are starting to review options for this and I wanted ask if anyone is currently using a tool or has plans to use a tool to assist with the testing - if so, would you be willing to share any information?

Hello Stuart,

We use HP Quality Center but it is more for test scripts creation and execution than automated testing.

Test scripts are created in the system, users log and execute in it: it is easy to take a screenshot or attach a document or open a discrepancy.

The system uses the electronic signatures and we validated it to be compliant with GxP requirements

We are also using HP QC

One of the tools we are currently reviewing is UFT from Micro Focus (it used to be part of HP but they sold it to Micro Focus) and a question came up asking what Flex SDK version was used for Learning – So I'm trying to find that out at the moment.

I'll let you know if I do and any results from our tests

I believe my colleagues in ITS are trying to do some automated testing using HPQC and were looking for some techical documentation on how to decipher the HTML screens.  Have any of you been successful with getting your automation to work?  Is Adobe Flex hampering your efforts?

Yes we from PwC has one. The issue is that we can't test Flash. For all other modules it runs smoothly

Hi there, What is the name of the tool you're using? I know PwC also has Cornerstone and am curious if you're using it for that as well..

We are using cloud SAP Success Factors and also use Test Automation Tool to test releases.  I would like to know if some of you are using test automation tools and what is the approach of testing the First half (April - May)  and Second Half Testing  (November - December) Release
