B2005p30 Validation Fail

Working on writing test scripts for validation this morning, only to find that I can't access any of the menus to get my validation user to the admin site! Notified support, of course, but is anyone else seeing this?

It is fixed in the preview environments as our stage environment is working now and has the following version:

Release: b2011p7e.20201126155923
Server: 26sc4bcf20t
Timestamp: 2020-11-27T16:39:56.980-0500

It looks like your stage environment is connected to a BizX on the production instance which still is in the following version:
Release: b2011.20201124235004
Server: 175pc8bcf190t
Timestamp: 2020-11-27T16:42:59.963-0500
This still has an issue so you may want to let SF know. We had swap our stage environment to connect to BizX preview when there was an issue the weekend of 11/20 so now we have stage connected as suggested by SF but we have yet to do this with sandbox so I can still see the differences. Hello Ward,

yes we are facing the same issue and have already opened a ticket. Other customers have raised same issue. 

So I guess there will be another patch. 😞

The header is missing in our staging environment also.

Hi,

The header is missing on our Validation environment as well, generally the resolution is to add the Learning page URL in trusted sites, but this is not working.

The headers do appear however if you directly login to BizX

Are you seeing the same behavior as well?

That will not work for us as all of our users access LMS through LDAP SSO. Admins access in the same way and then navigate to the admin side.

We use SSO as well, and admins navigate the same way via Learning Home to Admin Center using the dropdown on the header.

We raised a ticket to SAP as well.

This is just a test to see if the header is appearing on other pages (for us it does appear on BizX pages and Learning Administration but not on learning home).  The URL would still login via SSO, as the login method is set as SSO.

we had similar issues with double headers and multiple scroll bars. disabling the fiori header fixed it for us.

check the "Disable SAP Fiori 3 header" option under "company System and Logo Settings".

meanwhile have asked SAP via a ticket on a permanent fix as well.

At this point, I can't even get to the Admin Center either. Logging on as myself also results in no menus and no access.

Sorry disabling the fiori header fixed multiple scroll bars in the past, but as of this morning we noticed that our non productive instances are missing the headers as well, reported via an incident a while ago !

A co-worker was able to help me this morning with the following instructions. Maybe they will help you?

Click the following link to get to the settings of the staging account: https://hcm8preview.sapsf.com/sf/options?bplte_company=(company name) 

From the Settings Page Admin Center can be selected from Start Page drop down. Click Save.

Clicking the following link should bring you directly to the Admin Center in Stage: https://hcm8preview.sapsf.com/sf/admin?bplte_company=(company name) 

 

The IQ report does not show any changes to our Staging environment since November 6th. It is not yet clear what happened and if this is a result of the pending release.

We are having the same issues. I checked the version of BizX and it shows "Release: b2011.20201124235004". It looks like they released a change on 11/24. Not sure if this is what caused it but this is unacceptable. Now I am concerned any changes they push could potential break things and we only have 1 week left not counting Thanksgiving holiday. I have submitted a very High case as I need to complete p30 validation today due to the holiday and this needs to be done before p31. I really hope p31 does not introduce any bugs b/c we don't have any time.

Now the same version of BizX that caused the header issue in our Stage environment was released in to our Production environment:

Thanks for sharing. Our Production environment wasn't upgraded with the Nov 24th update as of now. It's still holds the release that got deployed over last weekend due to v2011 BizX upgrade. Release: b2011p5p.20201120015914

Does it mean you are missing top header bar in your Production LMS now?

Actually it's worst as its not just the header, our users cannot access Learning at all. Are you guys on https://performancemanager8.successfactors.com as that's what we are on.

This is not the first time a change to BizX resulted in breaking LMS functionality. I am very concerned that SAP can make these changes without allowing us time to validate.

We have the same issue at sandbox and staging instance at DC 12

We are having same issue with Sandbox and Stage - ver in BizX was updated on 24-Nov - can't get admin center from learning center etc  - also Production was not accessible this morning for about 5 hours - Prod is now sorted however we had same issue in Prod after BizX upgrade at weekend.

we checked our BizX version in Prod and it is the same as sandbox and stage showing the update from 24-Nov - we have raised this with SAP - no notice at all on release to Prod etc   - not happy

SAP fixed it by 3am PST my time and I got confirmation around 8:25 am PST that sandbox and stage will get an emergency patch fix tomorrow to address the issues in those environments. This past week have been way too many surprises. I will be working on this weekend to validate p31 to ensure no further issues as there isn't much time until upgrade.

I submitted a change request that would prevent these issues in the future by syncing BizX and LMS upgrades for vSaaS customers. Please check out the request, comment with any additional ideas, and most important, VOTE so SuccessFactors will understand that this practice needs to change!

Hello,

I'm confused, the SAP ticket said they would apply a patch early morning today, looks like they did but the release stayed the same and still no Home in the menu.

I believe the patch is for BizX as mine was corrected last night, but also no change to LMS environment version. Your BizX upgrade might be on a different schedule?

I wanted to got some details before i vote. When you say sync BizX with LMS upgrades, meaning change the BizX update from twice a year to once a year following vSaaS schedule?

My intention was patches and upgrades but, obviously, I was not clear so I encourage you to vote and add comments to what you would like to see happen.
