Flash Discontinuation Date for vSaaS

In regards to validated LMS, what is the exact date Flash is going to be completely removed from sandbox/validated preview? It appears that non-validated customers have the Flash UI until Oct and the timeline I heard was Flash would be removed from Validated LMS in August. Please provide a specific timeline for vSaaS. This is an important consideration for training of current Admins on the new UI or any new Admin needed between Flash discontinuation and Go-live in Production.  Training is normally completed in the lower environments before production access is granted. Effective this change, sandbox/validated preview will no longer match production causing either dual training efforts or blackouts to granting Admin access.

Hi Chris,

Sany posted the Release schedule for this already (b2005).

So tomorrow we will get the first draft of the non flash GUI in Sandbox 🙂

For other trainings (of current release) and support issues you can use the pre-prod environment which keep the same version b1808.28 till Nov/15/2020 like productive.

The post you identified appears to be outdated since the release to Production still shows November and I'm being told it is now December 4th. Also, I am specifically trying to pinpoint when vSaaS will loose access to the Flash UI in sandbox.

The upgrade schedule to your Sandbox and Preview environments will be as below:

Sandbox Maintenance Window:
Start Date: 21st May, 2020 Start Time: 22:00 UTC
End Date: 22nd May, 2020 End Time: 5:00 UTC

Preview Maintenance Window:
Start Date: 31st May, 2020 Start Time: 22:00 UTC
End Date: 1st June, 2020 End Time: 5:00 UTC

So this part of the schedule seems intact.

Hi Everyone, the updated VSaaS release schedule will be shared shortly as we need to confirm some final post production upgrade patch dates.

I wanted to clarify that flash navigation is not part of the August patch.  It will either be part of the newly added October patch or VSaaS patch 1. We are analyzing the best and most feasible approach and will provide the details a bit later.
