Hi All,
Just wanted to share one observation we made last week about Item Connector post v2005 upgrade - if a course item is removed from all libraries, all potential updates to it through the Item Connector will be rejected. Except for the error I'm pasting below that system shows, Item Connector job failed on one of the files and then hard stopped, without processing remaining ones, so we had to fix issues manually by assigning libraries to items in order to unblock the queue and restore job to run. Now we monitor the queue carefully and shared a communication internally requesting not to remove libraries from items until the issue becomes fixed.
Unexpected Error.SQLException - Could not create com.plateausystems.elms.framework.financial.impl.CatalogServiceImpl record!
com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: [287]: cannot insert NULL or update to NULL: unknown
We reached out to SAP within a very high priority ticket considering scale of our integrations and received a reply that an emergency patch for all VSaaS customers will be rolled out on January 7th to resolve this. We also got informed that unfortunately there isn't any workaround available at present hence I'm recommending to review Item Connector job results in order to check if the queue processes all files without any issues.
Regards,
Jan

Hi Everyone, I want to clarify that this will not be an emergency patch. This fix will come and be deployed by way of the already communicated VSaaS patch 1 (2005p32) according to our documented schedule, This patch is planned to January 7 in Sandbox, January 17 in Preview, and February 7 in Production. Thank you.

We recently encountered a similar problem, luckily while testing in a non-production instance. For us, the problem is occurring because we are including the Library 1 (CATALOG_1) in Item Connector data files from a new source. Including Library is generating a null error on Price. SAP Support stated that this a known error that will be address in an upcoming patch. They suggested we add the Price column as blank as a workaround.
