Menu behavior: Same for everyone?

My validation team consists of two people, myself included, and we both have full time responsibilities even while validating. I guess we are also very adaptable to software because one of our admins responded this morning that the Home page was broken and would not do anything. It took a while, but found that the following behavior exists in all of our environments. I would like to submit an enhancement request (this really should be basic web design after all) but I wanted to check to see if it was everyone.

The Issue

You have to click on the drop arrows to expand each menu item. This would be acceptable if the menu text took you to a generic page but it does not, so the result is just restrictive and, for this admin, confusing behavior. Here's a visual:

Hi Ward,

Yes, we are experiencing same behavior hence I fully agree it might be a good enhancement to consider a vote for.

Thanks!

Yes, the same behavior happens in our system. I had to train the Admins in our system that they have to click the ">" icon for the tree to expand and to be able to see all of their options under that particular menu.

That was one of the first questions that I got while I did a demo of the new Admin UI

I commented on this early on. I didn't submit an enhancement request, though. Nothing will likely be done. At the least anytime soon. This behavior is part of the Fiori Style UI.

Yes we have the same and realized this when I first used the new admin UI but among all other things, this was the least of my concern although it would be nice and I would vote for this enhancement as well. We have other Fiori forms for the other things and this is inherently how it works so not sure if this is an easy enhancement. Thanks, May

I think this is current standard behavior. At least for me, I can confirm the issue.
