new UI - admin role issue with AP and custom fields

I am currently performing some tests in the new admin interface in our stage environment ( learning) : I have observed that all admins don't have access to the same fields depending if they use the new interface or the previous interface in our stage environment.  for instance in the new admin interface they cannot change the user custom fields, they cannot add a rule or a create a group in Assignment profile . If they switched to the "old interface" ( remaining in the stage environment)  they can change everything  . did you observe the same issue?  myself have "all" as a role so doesn't observe the problem but all other admins roles we have see this issue.  Thanks

I submitted an SAP Support incident regarding LMS administrators not being able to add or edit assignment profile rules. What I found is that if the assigned administrator role has the Edit Assignment Profile permissions without a domain restriction then the LMS administrators can edit assignment profile rules. But, of course we want to restrict which assignment profiles our LMS administrator edit.

Hello Nadine,

we have the same issues. Both will be solved quickly by deleting the domain restrictions. But this couldn't be the solution. SAP need to implement here correctly the restriction function. I also tried to add all domains to one domain restriction and here it has the same behavior > no function.

what about custom fields ? did you also observe this ?

: my admins cannot save any change in the user details custom fields : when they edit the field,and type the new value and click save ,the system displays the message" changes are saved" but changes are not saved at all . see attached recording. it doesn't happen in the Admin( legacy).

exactly the same issue occurs for us also, with the user custom fields.

I found probably in release Notes a bug fixing for the AP rule issue:

b2005p6 (22-May-20) PTCH-32625 LRN-81825 Fixes an issue where assignment profiles in the Learning Administration non-flDsh UI were not honoring security domain restrictions.

But this will be part of p16 wich is deployed on Aug 6 to Sandbox.

Is the new Admin UI mandatory change or we still have the option to use the existing UI?

Looking at the number of issues raised, I am starting to feel its best to wait.

it is  a mandatory change scheduled for December 4th . I agree with you with the number of issues raised . we have an additional ones with sites that I am exploring now .
