Open Text integration with LMS connectors

Hi,

I am looking to find out if any companies have an integration with LMS & OpenText to create content objects & items, and connecting the content object to the item.  We are in the process of implementing OpenText's LSQM and working through the connector files to LMS.  We do train ahead of the effective date of an item, meaning if there is a new revision of a document we keep rev 1.0 (current) active and 2.0 (upcoming) active until the date 2.0 becomes the effective item, at that time rev 1.0 is inactivated & removed from curricula.

Also, I would like to know how you handle minor revisions of documents where it is a grammar error or a change that doesn't require training.  Do you bring those over to the LMS in your connectors and, if so, do you give substitute credit to the previous revision or do you have the users train on the minor revision?

Welcome any feedback!

Thanks,

Beth Murphy

OMG Beth,

I'm about to start the exact same project as you, we use the versions like you do.

I'll promise to share my finding. We have OpenText Content Suite version 16.2.11

Hi Beth,
Yes, this has been done at other Pharma/Device Companies through a professional services engagement specifically for OpenText Life Science Quality and Manufacturing (LSQM).

I would recommend contacting your SAP Account executive to ask for more details on how to start that step. I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Paul
