Retirement of Catalog 2.0 for validated customer, fixed date?

I was looking for the Retirement date of Catalog 2.0 (that we still have in use) and could not find anything. Is there any official statement from SAP? My colleague was told that validated customers receive Catalog 3.0 in valdated preview (=> retirement of catalog 2.0) in March 2020 and in PROD in the fall.  In my opinion this period is too long, it would mean we could not initiate any changes related to the catalog  until Stage and PROD are not the same.

As Sany Said has already announced that there will be no b1908 annual release for validated customers, hence I think we can continue with catalog 2.0 till b2020 gets injected. @sany said please correct me if I am wrong.
