VSaaS 1708 Annual Upgrade Window - Move Sunday window to Saturday?

The upgrade/outage window is scheduled for Sunday, March 25th. Sunday is a difficult day for an outage, as our global userbase begins using the system early Sunday afternoon (Eastern Standard time). With this release, and the addition of Assessment Exams, we have to perform IQ's for modification of our Learning Admin roles to enable use of the Question Library and the new Exams, as well as removing create/copy access to Legacy Questions and Legacy Exams. Based on our role structure, we will have 8-10 hours of IQ's that need to be run after the upgrade is completed.

Can we please have the release moved to Saturday morning to allow our validation related work to occur when our global business partners are not operating within thier standard workday?

Yes even I agree to this.

If we have a upgrade in Production on 24th March , we will get sufficient time for testing.

Do we have update on when the IQ report will be available in the production system.

FYI, Plese turn on this feature LRN-17993, Clients will be able to download the IQ report themselves, which will save some time 🙂 .

The VSaaS Download IQ Report in the LMS Application feature allows customers to download their VSaaS IQ reports from the application environment. Previously, customers had to wait until the main contact was emailed the output report. This will allow any properly permissioned admin to retrieve the environment IQ report as soon as it becomes available to the application location after any installation, upgrade, or patch application.

Thanks Naveen for prompt response.

However after having multiple discussions with SAP, we understand that IQ Report will be readily available to the admin having access to Environment Tab and there are no configuration changes to be done.

Please let me know if you have configured any steps for IQ Reports.

Also we would like to understand how long does it takes for SAP to upload IQ report for Prod system 🙂

Hello Param,

No need to configure the IQ report, you just need to go to System Admin - Environment - Download b1708 IQ Report.

By any chance are you aware  if IQ reports will be available  immediately (ie 25th March 12:00 CET) after the upgrade in Production?

No, unfortunately the documentation I found only says that it would require a few days for the repor to be available, but it does not say exactly how many days.

We'd also really like to know as specifically as possible when it will become available as well in order to set the end date of this deliverable and be allowed to begin our associated configuration project. This means we also can't set an accurate project close date yet.

Thanks so much for the permission info! Although it appears to be defaulted 'on' for VSaas clients, and was available in our Sandbox after the 1708 deployment there, recently it no longer appeared. I was just getting ready to request a support ticket but instead it looks like the permission was somehow disabled when we did a refresh form our Production Env - Again, Much appreciated
