On the monthly Life Sciences LSIG call yesterday, there was communication stating that the 1808 VSaaS upgrade schedule will be released fairly soon.  Also, there will be official communication about the HANA migration too.  Please keep in mind that the 3Q 2017 Patch 2 was applied to the Sandbox yesterday.

Any News about the 1808 Vsaas Timeline?  We are about 1 month before the upgrade in Staging.  We need it to schedule validation activities!

Hi John, 

As the majority of customers will have to plan their validation tasks and as others are just in the course of implementing the vLMS we’d all really appreciate if we would not have to wait another two weeks or more  for this schedule. Is there any chance to get it within the next couple of days?

Yes, I completely understand the urgency.  I'm checking with the "powers that be" if we can get the VSaaS 1808 upgrade schedule sooner.  Thanks for your patience.

Its little early to know the exact dates however based on my experience since 1207 upgrade days, you are looking at end of March-early April.

Yes, Sany Said will be talking about the VSAAS 1808 upgrade schedule on the next Life Sciences LSIG monthly conference call scheduled for September 27th at 12 PM EST.  Let me know if you don't have the calendar invite and I can send it to you.  Also, he may have information sooner.

September 27th  is too late for us if the Staging environment is updated on October. 

As i interpret in your reply, it sounds like the information will be provided by @sany said. 

What is the most efficient way to include @sany said in the conversation?

Can he give us a date on the Sandbox and Preview Upgrade?

We are implementing successFactor right now and as a SF client, it is unacceptable to do not have the exact information, 1 month from the upgrade in Preview.

Hello,

As the exact dates are still going through final approval, which we hope will be available by the end of this week, I did want to share that we are targeting sandbox and preview environment upgrades towards the middle of October for most VSaaS customers. Details will be shared as soon as all planned dates are approved.

Unsure if there are queries/concerns expressed from other Vsaas customers on the Production release dates.

Would recommend an upgrade on 03/16 as opposed to 03/17 considering the post golive activities, change migration and smoke testing. 

The impact on a global system impacting production and operations globally on a Monday can be avoided.
