In the SAP SuccessFactors Learning offering, "assessment" is a generic term for measuring users' understanding or mastery of content. The Learning Assessments Tool was first released in Q3 2017 and provides various options for different types of assessments. It is our go forward solution for assessments and we will continue to enhance it further with enriched functionalities. As a result, SAP SuccessFactors will end maintenance of the legacy Plateau Question Editor (PQE) functionality (exams and questions) once support for printed and proctored exams is built into the Assessments tool (support for timed exams is available with the 1H 2020 release). The currently targeted date for building these features into the Assessments tool is the H2 2020 release, meaning that there will be no fixes related to PQE past that date. Customers will have a year from that date to complete their PQE to Assessment exams migration before PQE functionality is completely taken out of the product. Please refer to the points below for details and timelines regarding end of support and PQE feature removal from the product.
The following features are targeted for inclusion in Assessments by the H2 2020 release:

It is recommended that customers who are not already using Assessments, start creating new Exams using the Assessments tool. It is also recommended that customers start migrating PQE exams that are not proctored or printed to the new Assessments tool as soon as possible.
