Customer Source Validity in IBP

Hi all,

We are working on a configuration where we try to set 2 different customer source of supply for one customer/product combination. We used the customer source validity.

Basically, we want to be able to set those 2 sources of supply for the same customer/product combination with different time range.

Example :

Prod A / Cust A / Source of Supply A : From 01/01/2019 to 31/01/2019

Prod A / Cust A / Source of Supply B : From 01/04/2019 to 01/07/2019

We set the Primary Parameter Source of Supply Validity in the Heuristic as Yes (ticked).

We created some entries in the Validity of Customer Source MD for the combination.

We set the Customer Sourcing Ratio to 1 for both customer/product combination but had an error message while we run the Heuristic (ratio is equal to 2). The reason why we set it up at 1 for each combination is because we want to source 100% from this source for the specified time range.

Do you know if there is any parameter we are missing or if this is even possible? (we managed to have different time ranges for the same Prod A / Cust A / Source of Supply combination but it's not want we want).

Hi Lisa,

You don't need to set Customer Source Ratio to 1 for both lanes. Keep Primary as 1 and another one as 0. When you set Customer Source Validity, sourcing ratio is ignored. Unless you want 2 different lanes for the same period, you can set those two lanes as 0.5/0.5. In this case, it will look for the ratio.

Thanks a lot! This is perfect. I maintained one of the 2 source of supply at 1 and the other at 0 and it works perfectly.
