There are APIs to get and update filter values. Is there an API to alter the time periods?

Please elaborate what do you mean by alter time periods. What's the business requirement here?
If, in Edit View, the planning view is set to Months, Jan 2023 through Dec 2023, is there a way, via an API, to change that date range (time profile)?
Hopefully that clarifies my requirement.
Unfortunately, I don't think there is any such API to update planning view settings
