How to find your Error in your Integration Application of Cloud ALM in 3 easy Steps?

1. Select the System you are interested in

You got an overview of all Messages you get of the system with several Filter possibilities.

2. Filter for your Message that you are interested in

Available Filters

Status Group

Artifact Name

Package ID

Package Name

Sender

Receiver

Application Message Type

In this example we filter for Error in Status Group and PRD_BYD_WEBSHOP_INVOICE in Artifacts.

3. Select the Message you are interested in

Just click on the Link and the clicked Error will open his secret for you!

Bonus Step: Alert yourself for the Message you are interested in

Now that you know everything about your error and have fixed it, you may want to configure email notifications for any future occurrences.

Hi Christoph,

Thank you for putting together these examples. What we are looking for is a kind of interface overview like it exists in SAP PI/PO. Means a page that shows at one sight every interface and the numbers of processed, processing and especially the erroneous messages of it. The CPI's own monitoring is not very comprehensive and shows only a chronological list of messages. From your screenshots it seems to me that CALM doesn't provide that neither. Could you confirm if that's correct?

I don't know what the interface overview looks like in PI/PO. So I can neither confirm nor refute this for you.

But, recently it is possible to monitor SAP PI/PO Java systems. I can't tell you what that looks like, since I haven't connected such a system yet.

Thank you for showing us the Integration monitoring capabilities of Cloud ALM chb231913 A couple of queries on this from my side:

• Can you also throw some light on the inner working? Is Could ALM making a request to pull the logs from Cloud Integration? Or is CI pushing the information to Cloud ALM?


• Can Cloud ALM be used to overcome the 30-day log-retention limits of Cloud Integration? Does it store the logs longer and is that retention period configurable? Or is the monitoring view generated based on API calls to the Cloud Integration backend?

do you plan to enhance the filter (under business services) for SAP PI/PO same as it s working for SAP CPI/CI? We are using it there for a different criticality of interfaces when alerts sent to ServiceNow. For the moment for PI it s missing...
