No words about Lumira Designer dashboards in BI Launchpad?

Is it possible to run them (BI-Lauchpad) on an iPad over the Safari browser? Mobile mode, not desktop mode?

Greetings

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for reading and commenting.

I *think* Lumira came up in the recording (you would need to listen to be sure)

On this:

Is it possible to run them (BI-Launchpad) on an iPad over the Safari browser? Mobile mode, not desktop mode?

Sounded like it would work for Web Intelligence, but Lumira didn't come up in discussion

Hello Tammy,

I have a question about Analytics Catalog.

In version 2020.5, there is a new feature 'Analytics Catalog' in SAC. Is that a full product of what used to be called Analytics Hub or just limited embedded Analytics Hub?

Is Analytics Catalog within SAC going to fully replace Analytics Hub?

Regards,

Hi - thank you for reading and commenting

I interpreted that Analytics Hub will become Analytics Catalog.

I hope to learn more at upcoming conferences

On slide 14, it mentions that users can create a new webi document using the shared webi data model with out accessing the query panel. If changes done to the source of the data model, will they reflect automatically? Also, when they create the said document, will it create a new copy of the report which is used to create the data model? This would significantly alter the adhoc process for webi.

Hi - thank you for reading/commenting.

The product is not yet GA; I recommend asking this as a question at answers.sap.com

Hi, I have a question regarding BusinessObjects: We currently don't use it but would like to use Analysis for Office as our new front-end tool. Should we migrate to BO - taking into account the current strategy of SAP with SAC? It seems that the days of BO are numbered...

Hello Yvonne - BusinessObjects is a set of tools, including a platform with front end reporting tools.

Analysis Office works as an Excel front end to BW/HANA and sometimes SAC - so it depends on your requirements

Currently we only need MS Excel (AO) for our analyses in BW on HANA, no other tools. Later SAC will coming... - but really later.

Therefore I suppose that we do not need BO, don't we?

Hello Yvonne, Analysis Office can run standalone directly with BW on HANA, but you will lose some functionality, the biggest thing being not be able to schedule workbooks, as that only works with the BO server.
