Hi Jason,

This is latest document for Analytics Designer Developer Handbook or do we have any new version?

Regards,

Saurabh
Hi Saurabh,

Yes, it is the latest one. We are currently working on the latest handbook for the new Optimized Story Experience, which combines Analytics Designer and Story. We will keep you updated as soon as it becomes available.

Thanks for sharing! This will be incredibly useful!

Any chance we will be seeing video tutorials on scripting in the Optimized Story Experience anytime soon?

Best regards,

Andre
Hi Andre,

The majority of scripts in Analytics Designer remain consistent with those in the Optimized Story Experience, ensuring their continued functionality. There's no cause for concern in this regard.

Furthermore, developers with an Analytics Designer background can benefit from the introduction of the story's page concept. This feature not only enhances performance but also simplifies content management. For more information, check out the blog post on this topic. https://blogs.sap.com/2023/02/17/how-to-use-scripts-to-build-cross-pages-interaction-for-the-new-opt...

Hi Jason,

any update on the developer handbook including Unified Stories?

Best

Karsten
Hi karkrauava

Thank you for your interest in the developer handbook.

We are preparing content for the upcoming QRC3 release of Unified Stories. In the meantime, we're exploring new way to make it more engaging and current. One idea we're exploring is the possibility of creating a space within our community where we could compile a series of technical blog posts, instead of the traditional PDF format.

We will release it once the content and format is decided.

thanks,

Jason

Hi jason.yang

I like the idea of create a dynamic space within a community.

It will also be good if you could post various scenarios with working code. So we can have a starting point by simply copying & pasting the code and modify it for requirements. Not all of us are Javascript experts.

Please add me to your mailing list if you have any updates.

Thanks,

Sreekar

Hi kvsreekar

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're currently collaborating with our community team to identify an effective way to organize the content. Simultaneously, we're creating content that underscores the best practices for leveraging the optimized story. Remember, you can keep up to date with our latest blogs in the community, even before we establish a dedicated space for them.

We will continue to keep you informed about our progress within the community.

thanks,

Jason
