We are excited to announce the availability of corporate Git connectivity in SAP HANA Cloud Platform, Web IDE.

This has been one of the top requested features by our users, as many organizations follow strict security policies that require them to safeguard and control their code in-house.

This new feature allows you to establish a secure connection to a corporate (on premise) Git server, providing direct access to all your repositories directly from the SAP Web IDE.

The setup is very quick and easy. With a few simple steps, you can create a secure connection between SAP Web IDE on HCP and your on-premises Git source control server, and be seamlessly connected to your repositories.

More information on connecting SAP Web IDE to the corporate Git can be found here.

Hi Raz Korn,

Good Day.

I have been following your Replies for the Git Related Queries. It was very helpful for the clear Understanding. I would like to Thank for that 🙂

For On Premise Git  -  "corporate Git connectivity service" is now released with SAP Cloud Platform. But does this service comes only with the Licensed version ?

Since i am unable to see this "corporate Git connectivity service" in my SAP Cloud Platform trial account yet. Can you please help me with this Query ?

Best Regards,

Saranya Sakthi

Hello Saranya Sakthi,

There's a need to distinguish between the two SAP Web IDE services that are available on SAP Cloud Platform: SAP Web IDE; and SAP Web IDE multi-cloud.

For SAP Web IDE, the "corporate git connectivity" service is not available for trial accounts.

For SAP Web IDE multi-cloud, the service is available by default, hence, there's no special service tile to enable it. The capability is supported for trial accounts.

Raz

Hi Raz,

we want to use Web IDE Personal Edition with local GIT and have problems with SSH authentication. Do you maybe know if this is supported or if we have to use HTTPS?
