In this blog post, I want to present to you the learning journey Learning the Basics of SAP Fiori and keep you up to date on the latest additions.

Introduction
This learning journey is based on the customer course UX100 (SAP Fiori – Foundation). The course structure was reworked to provide a clear path following the learning goals of each unit. Plenty of animations and interactions support the digital learning experience inviting you to interact with the material.
Every lesson provides at least one exercise showing steps in a written form. Some can be performed directly by using some public resource like the SAP Fiori apps reference library, but most exercises are based on SAP S/4HANA 2021 FPS02 or SAP Business Technology Platform. In addition to the written form, these exercises provide a simulation of the steps in an SAP Learning system.
You can practice all exercises in a live SAP software environment by enrolling to the UX100 learning system in the SAP Learning System Access.

When you complete the whole learning journey, you get a record of achievement.
Content
1. End-User Perspective
Unit 1 introduces the SAP Fiori design principles. But the main topic is the usage and personalization of the SAP Fiori launchpad. Especially the data handling works differently compared to the classic SAP GUI.

2. Technology
Unit 2 provides an overview of technologies used with SAP Fiori. SAPUI5 and SAP Gateway are the core topics and a prerequisite for any more advanced learning journeys. Both topics are needed to understand and handle application types.

3. Architecture
Unit 3 covers various architectures including SAP Fiori for ABAP Platform (deployment options, maintenance), SAP Fiori for SAP S/4HANA (Embedded Analytics, Enterprise Search), and SAP Fiori development (ABAP CDS Views, SAP Fiori elements). It is a foundation for both developers and content or system administrators alike.

4. Content Management
Unit 4 imparts the SAP Fiori content management, such as the SAP Fiori content model (spaces, groups, business catalogs), intent-based navigation (tiles, target mappings), and catalog types (standard, replicable, back-end). This unit is the heart of the learning journey.

5. Content Administration
Unit 5 cares about administrating the content in the SAP Fiori launchpad by first activating the SAP Fiori content using rapid activation. To grant end-users access to this content, you need to assign the basic roles for SAP Fiori to them. Plenty of settings can be configured for the SAP Fiori launchpad to fit it to the needs of the end-users. Finally, if it does not work as expected, several tools are in place to troubleshoot the SAP Fiori launchpad.

6. Adaptation
Unit 6 outlines options for adapting SAP Fiori. The first one is changing the theme of the SAP Fiori launchpad using the UI Theme Designer to apply a corporate design. Adapting SAP Fiori UIs at runtime goes deeper and allows changing the behavior of apps to meet the demands of end-users. The last option is extending the SAP Fiori launchpad itself via plugins.
