What is Ask an Expert Peer?

Ask an Expert Peer lets customers chat on their technical, product-related questions through one-on-one interactions with qualified and approved experts outside of SAP.  Ask an Expert Peer is best to deliver fast issue resolution for basic inquiries such as how-to-questions, and all low to medium priority cases.

Become an Expert of the Program

The application process is simple:

• You as a potential expert candidate for a specific product area or areas, must take a brief assessment examination provided by our partner Movate (formerly known as CSS Corp/Directly Inc.).


• You can become an expert in multiple product areas and we encourage potential experts to apply for multiple product areas if you are experienced in those areas.  The more product areas you are approved to be an expert in, the more opportunity for you to accumulate rewards.


• Once onboarded to the program, you choose which questions you’d like to claim.

You can earn rewards and points for every question you answer correctly.

Hello Santhosh.  When you click on the Apply Now link, it brings you to a product-specific page where you have to click on another Apply Now link.  It's not the greatest user experience and I apologize.  After you click on this second Apply Now link, it brings you to a page where you create your Movate account to begin the application process.  Do you see these three steps?

You need to make sure you click the radio button (the dot) next to the product area that you want to apply for otherwise it will bring you back to the same screen.

Tod, no interest in On premise HR/Payroll suite experts? I realize SF is the roadmap for the future of HCM but there is still a large user base of On premise installations. Thanks, Jeff

The title says "non SAP employees" and your account has SAP trapezoid on it, so I suspect you won't qualify.

There was a post about this before and the most popular question was how much are the experts paid. I'm still not seeing this information anywhere.

Also, the FAQs are in SAP Notes, which require an SID to read them. I'd assume the experts would be either freelancers or private individuals, so how are they expected to have an SID for personal use? This information should be more openly available. (In fact, Community have been asking for years to make SAP Notes or at least KBAs visible at least with PID but no dice.)

UI on that page is really bad. I'd never figure out that what looks like bullet points are radio buttons and you have to select one to do anything. And I'm knowledgeable enough to look at the page source to figure out the direct links. 🙂 Where would this leave an average non-technical expert hopeful?

Hi, I am interested to become an Expert. My main area of expertise is the component RE-FX in ERP / S/4HANA and in CLM in SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud. This is not an option in the list of products displayed. Can you tell me in which product the questions for these areas belong?
