As SAP’s Global VP and Head of Intelligent Suite and Integration, my work is focused on helping customers get the most value out of our products by providing an end-to-end solution for their business processes. At SAP, when we talk about the Intelligent Enterprise, this is the value we bring to our customers – a harmonized combination of SAP's Cloud Suite of solutions, fueled by intelligent technologies, into a great user experience on top of an extensible platform.
There are three main elements of what we offer to our customers to make their enterprises intelligent. In the center of it is the Intelligent Suite – an integrated offering across our lines of business. Where others offer best of breed, we belief in the differentiating value add of an integrated “Best of Suite”. We do this by looking at end-to-end business processes that span across multiple applications, by infusing intelligence into the core of our applications and across those processes, and by working on ensuring the integrated experience that we want to offer to our customers, as they use and extend our line of business applications.
The second element is the Digital Platform. Here, the SAP Cloud Platform is at the core of everything we do, because it allows us to offer these differentiated capabilities in the form of business reuse services, master data objects, out of the box integration and identification services – all the services that allow us to integrate into our existing offering and to extend and build new applications based on the APIs that we expose. Adding to this equation, our applications run on a powerful data foundation powered by SAP HANA.
Intelligent Technologies are the third and critical piece. The SAP Leonardo Machine Learning Foundation and its portfolio of solutions come into play by bringing in capabilities like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, and Embedded (cross-)Analytics. We embed these capabilities at the core of our applications and use it on the SAP Cloud Platform as the common data platform.
The combination of these three elements is our recipe for our customers to transform their enterprises into intelligent enterprises. Ultimately, it will result in the following key differentiators – for us and for our customers:
