What will be covered in the webinar?
We will begin with an introduction to the general updates for SAP HANA Cloud by our Lead Product Manager thomas.hammer3. First, he will talk about the new increased connection limit. Then, he will guide us through new features, such as the customizable backup retention, which allows to reduce or increase the standard retention time, and others. Thomas will also dive into the fallback snapshot and the template-based instance copy feature, as well as the migration self-service for SAP HANA Cloud on AliCloud.
Following our agenda, we will be welcoming shabana31, our product expert for SAP HANA Cloud Multi-Model Data Processing, who will dive deeper into the latest updates. Those include: the Louvain built-in community detection algorithm, designed to identify densely connected groups or communities within a graph. Next, Shabana will guide us through exciting new spatial functions that will significantly improve your spatial analysis capabilities, and lastly, the SAP HANA Database Explorer & spatial visualization enhancements.
This time we are also happy to have our experts volker.saggau joining. They will be guiding us through innovations regarding the SAP HANA deployment infrastructure (HDI) and database development. These will include the DML updates in hdbmigrationtable, ALTER partition functionalities and other topics, such as, new privileges for partition admins, the integrated job scheduler, and more.
Lastly, we will have our product expert robert.waywell#content:blogposts, who will cover updates specifically related to the Data Lake within SAP HANA Cloud. These contain transactional DDL support, which simplifies deployment of groups of DDL changes to the data lake, and export to Parquet.
Rounding-up, we will have our Lead Product Manager thomas.hammer3 giving us further insights into additional innovations, for instance the new calculation view features, and updates to the clients for SAP HANA Cloud.
