What will be covered in the webinar?
We will begin with an introduction to some general enhancements for SAP HANA Cloud by our Lead Product Manager thomas.hammer3. He will be covering the new possibility for IP- and application-based connection restrictions, go into details with regards to the optional activation of Data Provisioning Server for SAP HANA Cloud and share further details on other various topics related with our service as a whole.
Following our agenda, we will be welcoming jinhee.jeong, our product expert for SAP HANA Cloud Migration and compliance, who will dive deeper into the latest updates regarding our self-service migration tooling. Her update will include insights into the new possibility for data migration from on-premise SAP HANA Deployment Infrastructure (HDI) containers and JSON Document stores to SAPHANA Cloud, as well as the availability of the migration service as such on Google Cloud Platform.
Then, our product expert jose_at_sap will be introducing us into innovations in Data Tiering. He will start by explaining about NSE Advisor, which can be used to obtain or apply NSE recommendations to SAP HANA Cloud instances. He will go through enabling, configuring and running processes to optimize your data distribution.
We are also happy to have our expert jason.hinsperger, who will cover updates related to the Data Lake within SAP HANA Cloud. These include the Wildcard support for LOAD TABLE; a very interesting feature that will surely save you time when loading data from files into the Data Lake relational engine. He will also tell us more about File based access controls, which allows to define the access permissions on a file or directory for a user or a role in a Data Lake files instance.
Next, we will be welcoming our experts volker.saggau and shraddhashetty. They will be guiding us through innovations regarding the SAP HANA deployment infrastructure (HDI) and database development. Specifically, they will talk about remote table replication via SAP HANA Deployment Infrastructure, its use cases and limitations.
In addition, our expert jan.zwickel will guide us through innovations in Data Modeling and will explain about the all new MDS Cube, which represent a submodel of calculation views, allowing for a significant acceleration of analytical query executions, especially interesting for users of SAP Analytics Cloud. Furthermore, he will talk about the option of propagating column name changes and the where-used functionality, graphical support of user-defined functions with multiple return values, and more.
Lastly, we will have our expert daniel.vanleeuwen, who will provide further insights regarding innovations on SAP HANA Database Explorer. He will also guide us through new features on the integrated SQL Console in SAP HANA Cloud Centrals, as well as news on SAP Business Application Studio and Visual Studio Code.
