Adding Time Variance to bar chart

Hi folks,

I am trying to add a time variance to a bar chart in which monthly values are shown. I do not have a time dimension in SAC understanding but CALMONTH as I am using a live model.

Is there a way to add a variance based on the month in the last year?

For more details:

The underlying BW query is delivering monthly values for tweo years (01.2018 - 12.2019). Now I want to show data in a bar chart for the actual year (in this case 2019) and have per month a variance to the month in the previous year. (for example comparing Jan 2019 to Jan 2019 and showing the variance as a percentage variance on the Jan bar)

When I try to add a variance by the chart components I can only show variances between two measures and do not have the possibility to create a time based variance.

For CALMONTH time hierarchies are implemnted and also used in the chart (YEAR - MONTH). The drill state would be month of course to show the single monthly values in the bar chart.

Is it only possible with date dimension in live models?

Would appreciate some help on this topic. Maybe I just dont see other possibilities.

Regards

Kjell
