Analytics Cloud-Table filter - Dimension property on Parent node

Hello SAC community,

Client has desire to filter a dimension in an SAC Story table using a dimension property (Org dimension type). However, the dimension property is only used on the parent nodes as this is how it is done in their current BPC model (being replaced by this SAC model). When using the property to filter the report in SAC, no data will show in the table even though it is proven that data exists in the leaf members. So, a couple questions:

1-Can anyone confirm this the expected behavior since the data in the model is not being stored at the parent level? I suspect this is the reason.
2-Assuming this is truly the expected behavior, is there another manner in which to achieve the desired result?

Specific use case: Org-type dimension uses a “group” property to identify the parent nodes to be part of a group. Using the flag, the user would expect to see only the BU parent nodes in the table, but populated with data of all leaf members that roll up to it. This would be a similar result as showing the full dimension with the hierarchy exposed to show only certain parent nodes.

Hi ddskiend,

If your leaf node has no property mantained, you just filtered out all leaf node for aggregation when you put filter on property only exists for parent node.

For your scenario, I think you need to maintain property for all leaf/children nodes as well.
