Hello community,
currently, we are trying to deploy SAP IDES on Azure using SAP CAL. We want to try the free solution in first place.
Unfortunately, we are facing some issues with the connection from SAP CAL to Azure.
We are following this guide here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/workloads/sap/cal-ides-erp6-erp7-sp3-sql
A service account with the permission "owner" was created on the Azure subscription, but still SAP CAL is not able to connect to Azure with this service account. Maybe you can give us a hint what we missed to configure.
Thanks.
Thanks Aleksandar - that helps.
What I didn't found yet - to try out this free trial for:
IDES SAP enhancement package 7 SP3 for SAP ERP 6.0 on Azure
Do we need to have a valid subscription with SAP CAL (which actually costs about 700-800 $/month) or is there any other possibilty to try it ?
Thanks

Hi Julian,
The solution "IDES SAP enhancement package 7 SP3 for SAP ERP 6.0 on MS SQL Server Enterprise Edition" is available under the 30-day free trial license agreement. The latter allows test and evaluation of the trial software. Hence you wouldn't need the SAP CAL subscription before the 30 days pass or before you want to do more than trial and evaluation.
Best regards,
Stanimir
